Welcome to Young Cattle Company’s Maiden of the Midwest online auction. We are excited about the future of the Hereford Breed and are really excited about the lots we have to offer! This set of calves have been fun to watch and 9 out of the 10 are sired by A I bulls. We are very confident that these cattle will make great cows once their show career is over. All cattle are halter broke and our 3 oldest daughters (12,8,5) have been working with them. All cattle have been vaccinated with Bovi-shield gold, 7 way blackleg, poured with Dectomax and also been calf hood vaccinated. We are keeping ½ interest in Lot 4 and show rights for the 2023 season as this is Addison Bred and owned. Also retaining 2 flushes on Lot 5. Everything else sells in their entirety.

She was also named Grand Champion Horned Heifer at the Iowa State Fair. Her dam produced an $8000 heifer calf out of Garfield last year at Perks Fall sale. We didn’t get the heifer calf bought, but we are glad we bought the cow. Forrest is my oldest daughters show bull and has been shown successfully the last year. He was Grand Hereford Bull at IL State Fair, Res. Division Keystone, recently won his class at the NAILE. He combines his phenotype with 100 percent pigment and a great set of numbers. 8 traits in top 10 percent with 6 of those being in the top 5 percent. His Granddam produced the Grand Hereford bull at the 2015 NCC. Ronette told me to bring a good one with good numbers. Help yourself!
